WordPress – Customize Plugins

In this chapter, we will learn how to customize WordPress plugins without writing any HTML or CSS. This feature is especially useful for multi-user websites. It allows you to customize your login page using the WordPress Theme Customizer—no coding skills required.

Follow the steps below to customize plugins in WordPress:

Step (1) − Go to Plugins → Add New.

Step (2) − Install and activate the Custom Login Page Customizer plugin.

Step (3) − Go to Appearance → Login Customize section.

Step (4) − Click on the Start Customizing button to proceed.

Step (5) − This will open the built-in WordPress Theme Customizer, where you can modify the design and adjust the appearance as per your preference.

Click on the new Login Customizer tab in the side panel. The Login Customizer page will be displayed, where you can customize your login page just like you customize your WordPress theme.

Step (6) − The customized login page will appear as shown in the following screen.

Logo − Upload a logo of your choice to replace the default WordPress logo.
Background − Add a background image or choose a background color as per your preference.
Form Background − Select a background image or color for the login form container.

Most of the options in the customizer panel are transparent. You can explore all the settings and adjust them according to your login page requirements. Finally, click on the Save & Publish button.
