WordPress – Install Plugins

In this chapter, we will learn how to Install Plugins in WordPress. Installing plugins is simple, and most plugins are free to download, provided they are available in the WordPress plugin directory.

Follow the steps below to install plugins:

Step (1) − Go to your WordPress dashboard and click on Plugins → Add New.

Step (2) − Enter the name of the plugin you want in the search box, as shown in the following screen. A list of plugins matching your search term will be displayed, as seen in the following screen.

Select the plugin you want to use. Here, we have searched for the All in One SEO Pack plugin, which appears as the first result in the list, as shown in the preceding screen. Click on the Install Now button to install the plugin on your website.

tep (3) − The plugin will automatically begin downloading and installing on your website.

Click on the Activate Plugin button to enable the plugin on your website. Once activated, it will simplify your tasks by providing its features.

Step (4) − After activation, the plugin will appear in the list of installed plugins, as shown on the following screen.
