WordPress – Media Library
In this chapter, we will learn about the Media Library in WordPress. The Media Library stores all images, audio files, videos, and other files that you upload and use in posts or pages. From here, you can view, add, edit, or delete any media items as needed.
Follow the steps below to access the Media Library:
Step (1) − Go to your WordPress dashboard and click on Media → Library.

Step (2) − You can view all your media files, including images, audio, and videos. To add new media, click on the Add Media button.

Step (3) − The Upload New Media page will be displayed. (You can learn how to add media in detail in the next chapter.)
Step (4) − A media toolbar will be displayed, as shown in the following screenshot.
The various tabs in the Media Library have the following functions:
List View − Displays your images and videos in a list format, making it easier to see details like file name, author, and date.
Grid View − Displays all images and media files in a grid layout, providing a visual overview of your media library, as shown in the following screen.

Filter the Images and Videos − Allows you to filter media files by type, such as images, audio, or videos.
Search Box − Helps you find a specific media file by typing its name into the search box.
