WordPress – Moderate Comments

In this chapter, we will learn how to Moderate Comments in WordPress. Comment moderation ensures that visitor comments are not published immediately but are reviewed and approved by the admin before appearing on the site. This helps prevent spam and maintain quality discussions.

Step (1) − Go to your WordPress dashboard and click on Settings → Discussion.

Step (2) − The Discussion Settings page will be displayed.

In the Comment Moderation field, enter the words or URLs that you do not want visitors to include in their comments. Any comment containing these words or URLs will be held for admin approval before being published.

Step (3) − Click on Save Changes to apply the moderation settings.
